Mandala Chapter 1

At that time Vajrabhairava (金剛陪囉嚩) told Buddha: “I now wish to benefit all sentient beings hence say this all encompassing ritual. I hope you can grant me great compassion and let me speak freely.”

The Buddha said: “Very good Bhairava, for these benefits you may speak freely.”

After Bhairava was granted permission by Buddha, then he transformed into most fearful form amongst the human and deva congregations and he started to preach about this all encompassing accomplishment method. Anyone who recites this mantra, and those who wish to practise my ritual, he/she should first make a grand vow to benefit all beings. After that he/she should go to a vajra acala (金剛阿闍梨) and requests for empowerment. Once he/she has received empowerment, this person shall certainly be fruitful in all his sadhana and rituals.

Also if a mantri sees people creating bad karma and they refused to obey their king, and they created problems and unrest; in addition these people also not filial. Also those people who are cruel to an acala and guru, and that they destroyed the 3 gems (三寶), defaming Mahayana and Mantrayana. Those people who transgressed samaya precept arrogantly and lightly; and those folks who tend to harm sentient beings lightly. All of the above people should be subdued with this ritual. Perhaps they shall repent and explain themselves. Also the mantri should not be ignorant, full of hatred and jealous.

People who use this ritual onto kind people and those who simply casting spells to trouble sentient beings; he/she shall be born into Raurava Neraka (號叫大地獄) and he/she shall suffer there for uncountable Kalpa. Hence a mantri should stay away from the above mentioned bad deeds and only that he/she can learn to make mandala and requests for accomplishment.

Those who wish to make mandala, they should first choose an auspicious place (勝地). The so called auspicious place: in front of Mahesvara (大自在天) statue, or at a mountain top or in an empty house, or in a Devapura (諸天祠) or Hariti (母鬼) temple, or in a cemetery, or on a river bank, or under a large tree, or at an battlefield, or at a cross road junctions, or in a congregation place of tribes.

When an auspicious place is selected and a mandala is built and various rituals can be performed to request for siddhi. The so-called ritual means: pacification of disasters, increasing benefit, respect and love and annihilation, dispatching (發遣), forbiddance (), binding (), holy medicine (聖藥), sacred sword (聖劍), eye medicine (眼藥), medicine for entering a nagapura (入龍宮聖藥), hidden treasures, subduing Vitana bBaisajya (吠多拏必舍左), yaksa, yaksari, naga and etc. When a mantri follows designated sadhana and he/she shall receive accomplishment.

Also when a mantri is building mandala on a selected auspicious land (勝地), he/she should follow Maheshmuka (摩呬沙目佉/face of great ruler) ritual:

One should go to cemetery at night naked with spreading long hair. He/she should use cremation ash to draw a square mandala with 4 doors on each 4 sides. There should be a mezzanine floor (重樓) on each of the doors adorned by precious vajra (金剛寶), half moon (半月) etc. until small bells, large bells (), banners, flower garlands etc. various ornaments. He/she should draw an eight spoke wheel in the center of the mandala, in the center of the wheel should be divided into 9 sections in the form of full moon. Only one door is opened while the rest is closed.

There should be a sadhava (舍嚩), in the east is the silanaweanhasata (室囉南位安賀娑多), in the west is an antara (安頞怛囉) and in the north is the pana (波捺). In northeast corner is a kapala (羯播羅), in southeast corner is the angkusha (安拶沙迦), in the southwest corner is sumasanakaripata (蘇摩舍曩羯哩鉢吒), in the northwest corner is the angsurabinapurusha (安輸羅苾曩布嚕沙).

One should use the above flags on the wheel. Secondly, on the external and east side of the wheel, one should place angkata, ripani, paramusara, curikajanaye, angkusha (盎俱舍) etc. On the external south should be placed angkusa (安俱茶), rasa 囉設, raja囉誐, naijie 捺朅, junga 椿誐, jahihra 作訖囉, pasa 播舍etc. On the external west should be placed vajra, damaru 拏摩嚕, kajita 迦契吒, gata 迦馱, nujianta 努健吒, mata 馬多, karipata 羯哩鉢吒. On the external north should be placed tarimiti 多哩惹禰帝, lipataka 哩鉢多迦, garajarima 迦誐惹拶哩摩, vajra, mana沒捺, garakunta 誐囉軍多, animikuna 阿儗儞軍拏etc.

On the four doors and four corners should be place Mahavitara (摩賀吠多羅), one should use mahasiva oil (摩賀設嚩油) as lamp fuel. He/she should eat nara

After offering the mandala, he/she should use: hri 訖哩, tarauruka 馱囉烏路迦, khakasinava 迦羯細曩嚩, kasi 迦窒, jipa 致婆, sara 娑囉, samayora 娑摩喻囉, mahanitari 摩賀儞怛哩, mahasakuna 摩賀設俱曩, tapishi as food.

And then make offering to mandala. As such the mantri must concentrate and sincere when food offerings. This is the same for homa ritual. Also outside of the mandala, one should sprinkle rudhira (嚕地囉/blood) to purify the place. As such the mantri follows the Maheshmuka (摩呬沙目佉) method to embrace the fasting precept (齋戒). The mantri and his/her assistants should be altogether 4 persons. They should always concentrate themselves and laziness is not allowed. However, the mantri alone should use vellantara (吠嚕左曩) to rub his/her body. The person should spread his hair and naked in the middle of the night shaking a damaruka (拏摩嚕迦) and shouting Ho Ho loudly. He/she should have super concentration while entering the mandala in seeking for accomplishment. The mantri should enter the mandala according to the prescribed method. After that, he/she should make offering of foods arrayed in front of him/her to the great Vajrabhairava.

The mantri should visualize that Bhairava is in the mandala and enjoying all his/her food offerings. After he/she has made the visualization, the mantri should immediately stand in front of the mandala and dance making the stance of fearlessness. The mantri should recite the 10 syllable great mantra continuously until the Bhairava appears in front of him/her. If there are any fearful demonic scenes (魔境) appear to the mantri, the mantri should not be afraid as when the mantri becomes frighten; he/she shall be harmed by the demons. Then, whatever he/she seeks shall not see results. When the mantri can overcome his/her fear, then Vajrabhairava shall appear with joy to the mantri telling the mantri: “What is your wish, I shall grant you!”

The mantri should say: “I request for holy sword and enter the naga-bhavana (龍宮) and also various holy medicines; hopefully you can grant me these.” On hearing this, Bhairava shall tell mantri: “Whatever you ask, I shall give.” At this time, perhaps the mantri lacks fortune (福德); then he/she shall not able to accomplish the first class accomplishment. In that case, he/she shall attain middle or lower accomplishment.

All Accomplishment Methods Chapter 2

If a mantri want to subdue sudra (設咄嚕), he/she should visualize him/herself as the wrathful form of Vajrabhairava, or supana (遜婆曩). According to Mahehmuka method, take clothing from corpse and then use poison, blood, salt, mustard seeds, chinaberry wood juice, datura flower juice as coloring material. Then use a bird wing as pan and draw the image of Vajrabhairava mandala on the piece of cloth. One should divide the madala into 16 sections including the center. One should draw Bhairava image facing south, naked with spreading hair. He/she should also draw two furnaces in front of the mandala, and that the name of the sudra is written in between the furnaces. And then one should write the 10 syllable mantra as periphery with the name in the center. In addition, another 10 Hum syllable should be inscribed surrounding this name. Also on the four corners one must write Phat.

After the above is done, the cloth is placed inside a kapala and another kapala is used to cover it. Then one should make a triangle furnace and adorn it with kapalas on top and bottom. Cremation woods should be used as fuel and the mantri should make wrathful expression as before and then he/she should step onto kapala with his/her left foot and recite the 10 syllable mantra and hence removing the sudra quickly.

Again use ingredient as above to write the name of the sudra on a piece of corpse cloth, in addition he/she should add in the 32 syllable major mantra encompassing the name. One should also use remnant food of jaka (迦羯) and varujana (吠嚕左曩) to paint onto the cloth. After that the cloth is buried in a cemetery. This shall also remove the sudra quickly. If one buries the cloth under a tree, then the purpose is to dispatch (發遣). If he/she performs the ritual in front of the statue of Mahesvara (大自在天), then this shall cause separation of love ones. If the cloth is sunk under the water, then the sudra shall be imprisoned (禁伏), if the cloth is buried in a house, then it is meant for pacification (息災) purpose, if the cloth is recovered and washed, then all shall return to normal.

Also if a mantri gets corpse clothing and draw the yama mantra in a cemetery or a four way junction (四衢道), or under a large tree, or between two termite hill, or in front of a Mahesvara image, or in front of a raja’s door. One should collect some dirth, in addition use verujana (吠嚕左曩), vajrankanda (嚩日嚕捺迦) and cremation ash to make the image of the sudru measuring 8 fingers length. Then one implants the mantra above in its heart, in addition the mantri also use human bone nails to nail into 5 places of the manikin. After the manikin is poked repeatedly, it is placed inside of a kapala, and that another kapala is used to cover it. And that he/she waits until noon or midnight to collect termite hill soils from 7 places to make the shape of yama measuring one elbow length with wrathful form. The yama has two arms with right arm holding a sword and his hair is spreading on his shoulders. Inside the heart of the yama, the image of the sudra is inserted. Also during midnight or noon, in a cremation hole; the image of the yama is buried in a deep hole face down and its head pointing to the south.

When the mantri returned to his/her place, he/she should according to Maheshmuka method to recite the 10 syllable mantra and calls the sudra’s name for 3 days. The sudra shall be subdued. If he/she digs out the image and washes it with milk, then the sudra shall recover.

Again use medicine as above in equal portion, write the 10 syllable mantra on the skin of cutchnuli insect (麁忖努哩蟲) and then collect some footprint soil from the sudra and then collect some soil from mutra (母怛囉/urine). Both soils are mixed together and then filling the skin. After that the skin is tied with human hair. Then use kara mutra and valujana (sand) to fill a bottle and then burry the bottle into a deep hole in the cremation pit. The sadhaka makes wrathful expression and in accordance with Maheshmuka method to recite the 10 syllable mantra for one full day, then this can make supa (soup/liquid). There is no cure for this method.

Again if one collects soil from termite hills from 7 places and then make the shapes of water buffalo and horse; and that the cow and buffalo is on top of each other. Then mixes buffalo and horse bloods together and write the major mantra and then insert it into the hearts of the buffalo and horse. Later the buffalo and horse are buried under Nimba ([*]) tree. And that the mantri perform visualization that the sudra separates from his wife. Within 3 days the sudra shall part as visualized by the mantri.

Again as before collects termite hill from 7 places and makes the shape of a camel. Inscribe great mantra as before and insert it in the heart of the camel. The mantri visualize the syllable Bam, and Bam then transforms into the wind chakra which is of half of full moon. On the camel, one should visualize that the sudra sits on the wind chakra and that he/she further thinks that yama is at the back of the sudra. The yama is holding a baton and striking the sudra so that he moves towards the south. Within 7 days, the sudra shall automatically move away.

Also if a mantri gets some mustard seed oil and on the day that rules by the sun (大陽直日), rub the mustard seed oil on the body of an elephant and then tie the elephant under nimba tree. Later he/she uses clam (蚌蛤) to scrub oil from the elephant body. And then he/she goes to the deva-kura (天廟) of Mahesvara and gets a banner. He/she should then burn the banner without setting it ablaze. The mantri should collect this smoke and the n mixes it with the previous oil. If the mantri rubs this oil on the sudra’s foot or clothing, then the sudra shall leave the mantri after a while.

Also if a mantri gets a wing of a crow as pen and uses the blood of the crow as ink and draw wind chakra (風輪) on a piece of bhūrja-pattra (樺皮), and in the center of the wind chakra he/she should draw the name of the sudra and then the bhūrja-pattra is tied on the neck of a crow. The mantri then perform ritual according to Maheshmuka and imagine that he/she releases the crow towards the south. Then the sudra shall be as if the crow, after a while moves away.

Also if the mantri mixes human faeces and urine to make the shape of the sudra and further applies some bone powder onto the manikin. The mantri should perform the ritual at midnight and naked in a cemetery. He/she should cut the manikin into pieces and according to Maheshmuka method, burn the manikin pieces in a cremation hole or use the cremation flame to perform homa. The sudra shall automatically be annihilated.

Also if the mantri use the above mentioned medicine as ink, and on a piece of corpse clothing draws the Yamantaka major mantra. In addition, uses mahabharivaca (摩賀鉢囉儞波/java galangal) and valujana to make the shape of a sudra. Then insert the major mantra into the heart. The mantri then in accordance with Maheshmuka method and smear his/her own body with valujana and then proceeds to cemetery where he/she severe the image of the sudra. And then burns the pieces in the cremation hole. The mantri should be seated facing south to perform homa and the person shall be annihilated.

Also if a mantri gets some crow skin or smoked fox skin, and then inscribe the 10 syllable major mantra and the person’s name with an iron pen. And that the mantri goes to a quiet place and calls up the sudra’s name and then recites the 10 syllable mantra. The sudra shall automatically disperse.

Also if the mantri uses the above medicine and draw the image of Yamaraja mandala on a piece of corpse clothing, and further he/she uses cremation ashes to draw a face of a super ugly lady; and that he/she inserts the major mantra into the heart of the image. The mantri then uses his/her feet to step onto the image. Then in accordance to Maheshmuka method and calls the lady’s name, further he/she recites the 10 syllable mantra and then orders the person to be imprisoned.

Visualization Chapter 3

Also if a mantri wishes to make visualisation, he/she should first recite mantra for purification of three karmas (淨三業大明). After the purification of three karmas, he/she should keep a selflessness heart (無我心). He/she should keep this selflessness view when he/she is performing all types of ritual. After the mantri has performed the selflessness view, he/she should praise the righteousness of holy assemblies. Then he/she should think his/her heart gives Bam syllable. This Bam then transforms into to wind chakra. And then he/she should visualize the wind chakra in the colour of smoke. Then on the wheel appears the 1st word (第一字), then the mantri should imagine this 1st word becomes Indra (印捺囉) mandala. On the mandala one should think the syllable Dhi. One should further think that the Dhi becomes Manjushri. And also in the heart of Manjushri kumara, the syllable Ah transforms into sun chakra. From the sun chakra bright light emitted towards boundless lands of all 10 directions including Buddha, bodhisattvas until Vidyadhara rajas etc. The light has brightened up all holy lands.

Then it returns to the sun chakra. As such one should visualize Manjushri kumara and all tathagatahs are no differences. He emits great light in the sun chakra illuminating hundred thousands yojana (由旬).

Also one should think of a black syllable Hum appears in the centre of the sun chakra. There are 5 colour lights surrounding the Hum. Again he should think the syllable Hum transforms into a great vajra, which is black in colour and emitting great light. Again think of the vajra emitting various tathagatahs and vidyadhhara rajas the size of sesame seeds filling the space. All of them have perfect features and they are surrounding by lights. Again think of various tathagatahs delivering all sentient beings until they become enlightened. After all tathagaths are delivered, the tathagatahs return into the vajra.

Also think that the vajra transforms to maha vajrabhairava with 9 faces: the 1st front face like that of Maheshmuka, which is black in colour. On the top right side sariga (設哩誐) are 3 faces. The centre face is green, right red and left yellow. All of them are of wrathful expression. On the top left side sariga also three faces: the centre white, right smoke colour and left black; all of them are of wrathful expression. Between the two sarigas is the 8th face, which is of bright red with wrathful expression. Then on that is the 9th face, making the expression of wrathful kumara, yellow in colour with 5 hair knots (五髻). He is wearing clothing of a kumara. As such all 9 faces each contains 3 eyes. All of them are in wrathful or laughing expressions with tongues protruding and brows frowning. He is naked with a great belly and his hairs are erected. He wears elephant hide and adorned with human skulls. He has 34 arms: The right 1st hand is holding a machete, the 2nd hand holds a panipara (頻泥波羅), the 3rd hand holds a vajra (擣杵), the 4th hand holds cutlika (麁哩迦), the 5th hand holds kanuye (迦拏野), the 6th hand holds an axe (), the 7th hand holds a stuff (椿), the 8th hand holds a human head, the 9th hand holds a hook, the 10th hand holds a precious wand (寶捧), the 11th hand holds a khatvanga (朅椿誐), the 12th hand holds a chakra (), the 13th hand holds a vajra, the 14th hand holds a vajra hammer (金剛骨朵), the 15th hand holds a sword and the 16th hand holds a damaru (拏摩嚕迦).

The left 1st hand holds a kapala (髑髏), the 2nd hand holds a human head, the 3rd hand holds a taka (吒迦), the 4th hand holds a human foot, the 5th hand holds a noose (羂索),  the 6th hand holds a bow, the 7th hand holds antara (頞怛囉/heart), the 8th hand holds a bell, the 9th hand holds a human hand, the 10th hand holds a corpse clothe, the 11th hand holds a person (籤人), the 12th hand holds a furnace (火爐), the 13th hand holds a jhasaga (拶沙迦/alligator), the 14th hand makes the Tarjani-mudra (期剋印), the 15th hand holds a banner () and the 16th hand holds a sail (). Both of the 2nd left and right hand holds an elephant hide.

He has 16 feet: the right 1st foot stands on a man, the 2nd foot stands on a buffalo, the 3rd foot stands on a yellow cow, the 4th foot stands on a donkey, the 5th foot stands on a camel, the 6th foot stands on a dog, the 7th foot stands on a goat, the 8th foot stands on a fox. His left 1st foot stands on an eagle, the 2nd foot stands on a grey fox (獯狐), the 3rd foot stands on a crow, the 4th foot stands on a lion, the 5th foot stands on a sinang bird ( 細曩鳥), the 6th foot stands on mitara (儞怛囉/sun god), the 7th foot stands on mahakuna (摩賀俱曩), the 8th foot stands on a crane ().

His body is engulfing with flames as if kalpōddāha (劫火/eternal flame) which shine with intensity and with great force. His mouth is shouting “Hum Phat” words as if thunder roars. Both human and deva are scared to hear and see this figure. This Vajrabhairava not only consumes human blood, meat, marrow and brain, he also devours gods of the 3 realms.

A mantri should visualize as such in a quiet place and that he/she should stop thinking of unrelated matters and concentrate on various righteous teachings of the holy folks. And that all of the holy assemblies present in front of him/her. He/she should think that the holy assembly is same as himself/herself. In that way he/she stays in a state of fearlessness. Again he/she should visualize a sun disc at his/her heart, on the sun disc is a great syllable, and the syllable emits lights towards all four directions. The mantri should make such visualization until he/she attains accomplishment. Only after that he/she can start the sadhana practice. During the sadhana practice, the mantri should consume 5 types of nectar and medicine, and also mahabharivaca (摩賀鉢囉儞波). He/she should recite the fundamental mantra for 3 laksla (洛叉). Only after the number of recitation is completed, all of future rituals if done according to prescribed rituals in an unmistakeable manner shall attain accomplishment.

Accomplishments In Visualizations Chapter 6

Also if a mantri wishes to perform this method, then he/she should first practise this visualization method until he/she is familiar with it and then perform ritual proper.

When a mantri wishes to destroy a shudra, he/she should follow Maheshmuka method and think of syllable Ra clearly in front of oneself. This Ra then transforms into a fire chakra with intense flames. One should think of the shudra on the fire chakra, naked with long hairs spreading on the shudra’s shoulders and extremely weak. The mantri again imagine that a krodha raja (忿怒明王) emitted from his/her body holding a sharp sword severing the shudra’s body and then devouring his/her meat and gulping the blood. If one has determined to remove this shudra, then this is the visualization one has to do. The mantri should also recite mantra for 7 days and not only the common folks can be destroyed; even Vajrasatta can likewise be terminated.

Again the mantri should first visualize his/her body as if Maheshmuka, then imagine a large fire chakra. On the chakra is the shudra showing an expression of extreme fear and shivering. There are also fierce raksa devouring this shudra. Secondly, there are crows, eagles, foxes and dogs and the like racing to eat the shudra. Then the shudra shall always automatically be destroyed.

Also when a mantri is making a dispatching ritual, he should first think of the syllable Bam (), and it transformed to a half moon wind chakra. Think that the shudra is on the wind chakra naked with spreading hairs in extremely weak appearance. The mantri should think his/her body as if of the Maheshmuka, he is also on a wind chakra. Secondly the mantri should think the wind chakra transforms into a camel, and that shudra rides on the camel towards the south. In addition the mantri should also think of Yamaraja (焰摩王) with spreading hairs and holds a precious sceptre striking the shudra from behind. As such the mantri makes the visualization for 7 days, not only common folks can be dispatched in such a way, even saints can be moved too.

Also if the mantri follows the Maheshmuka method and performs visualization in meditation that he/she imagine the shudra rides on a falcon or crow and there is Yamaraja holding sceptre in his right hand while grasping the shudra’s hair. The Yamaraja throws the shudra towards the south and as such the mantri performs visualization for 7 days, then all those being sent off shall move with exceptions.

Also if the mantri for the sake of removing snake poisons (蛇蠚) and other severe poisons, one should think that his/her heart becomes a 8 petals white lotus. There is a third syllable (第三音字) in the centre. It transforms into one’s own body white in colour. In addition, the mantri should think a syllable on top of his/her head, and from this syllable nectar flows out the person suffered from poisonous snake bite. This method can even remove great poisons that filled the three realms. If a mantri after performing this visualization, he/she shall not be harmed even consumed the most poisonous drugs in the world.”

At this time, the Maha Vajrabhairava has completed saying these various rituals. He again told the congregation: “Please do not transgress what I have said. Anyone who disobey these teachings shall immediately suffer now in this life and then they shall be cast into hell and suffer uncountable retributions.”

After Bhairava said these words, he prostrated to the Buddha and retreated.
